Internship Updates...

Wow! I have TONS of interviews! Which is  a really good feeling.  Of course, it's also making me dread January... as I'll be running around like a professional chicken with my head cut off. ;) Also I should remind my non-psych folks that getting interviews in this situation isn't as promising as normal jobs, since most sites interview 30 applicants (out of 100-200 applications) and then ultimately choose 3 of those 30.  So there's still much work to be done.
But here's the schedule so far:

Mon, Jan 5: Emory (Atlanta, GA)
Tues, Jan 6: GA State (Atlanta, GA)
Wed: back in knoxville to teach a class
Thurs: App State (yay!) (Boone, NC)
Fri: UVA (Charlottesville, VA)

Then the next week: Jan 15th (thurs) USC (Columbia, SC).

I still haven't heard back from some key people: UT, Idaho and Washington ... :( Aud has an interview in Spokane (which is a very promising sign in her profession) the week of Jan. 10th. So I really hope I get interviews out there!!!!

Meanwhile, I just got back from an all-day interview at the Johnson City VA. I do NOT want to go there.  More on that later, perhaps.

Charlottesville, VA is a very nice town and quite progressive. My husband is a UVA grad so he took me to see his old stomping grounds. I have friends in Spokane who seem to enjoy living there. It's in relatively close proximity to some beautiful areas, i.e. Missoula, MT. Good luck!!
